DIN rail is a standardized 35 mm wide metal rail with hat-shaped cross section. Top hat rails 35 mm wide for snap-on mounting of equipment,or use pro-punched to mount it.

It is widely used for mounting circuit breakers and industrial control equipment inside equipment racks.
